Our Strengths

We are a small department focusing on individual student teaching.  We offer industry scenario based teaching and practical problem solving. We are currently running an industry standard ECDL qualification from years 7-9. With a 101 passes at year 8. We have an excellent academic record at GCSE and A Level:

  100% grades A-B at GCSE

  33 GCSE entries with 15 A* grades, 15 A grades,

  3 B grades. 100% grades A-B

  100% grades A-B at A Level

  15 AS entries with 15 A grades, 2 B grades

 There are 56 Personal Comuters in the department, running a wide range of general and subject specific software. We have Interactive Whiteboards with Projecting Units which are used for teaching. This allows the pupil to watch directly the functionality of the software on a large screen and interact with it. Students are also taught to present using these facilities.
